Well I'm 20. I don't know quite how the hell that happened.
It's been over 4 years since I was last at school, which is insane to think about.
I got a gambling set from John, his sister and another friend, which included a roulette wheel, chips, cards etc, since we've been playing poker a lot lately.
I got some cool books from Helen and Sarah, one being a book of confessions from grouphug.us, one is the Calvin and Hobbes tenth anniversary edition, with full commentary from Bill Watterson, and the other is The Huge Book of Hell, comics by Matt Groening. I got a bottle of absinthe from another friend, and some cash from my parents. Didn't do too badly from it I guess. Oh and somebody bought me my first ever birthday cake, which was awesome of them.

Other than that there's not a huge amount going on really. I guess things don't change much when you spend half of your time escaping, playing computer games. I really ought to grow up a bit now. I still have no prospects for relationships. I always say to myself I'm getting used to it, and it'd be cool if I were single from now on, but a lot of the time I really don't believe that at all.
I spent tonight in a friend's house with him, John, a few other people including Helen, and Sarah.
Sarah and I ended up sharing half of a sofa and I have to admit that I still really like her. She's such a sweet girl. She's always complaining about men, saying she just wants a nice guy, which I think she really does, but the amount of women I know personally who complain about men being assholes and just looking for a nice guy, whilst solely dating complete assholes even though it's perfectly evident that they are in fact assholes, and all their friends tell them there assholes, staggers me. Hell if Sarah wanted a nice genuine guy, I'm not that far away. I'm not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but I'm honest, caring, and a bunch of other stuff.
That's another thing... you wouldn't believe the amount of people I hear "Oh you're such a nice guy, you're a real catch, whatever girl ends up with you will be really lucky" from, but if that's the case, where the hell are all these girls? If it's true, will anybody realise it without simply saying "Oh you're such a nice guy...."?
I don't know. Maybe I just get impatient at waiting to meet the right people, but it's been almost 2 years since I was in a proper relationship, and that's if you count being 2200 miles away from somebody and arguing constantly as a proper relationship.
